The session began with a global Eurogiro
and Asia Pacific update from Michel Stuijt.
Reinforcing the unprecedented growth in the
Asia Pacific region, Michel highlighted our
soon-to-be Asia Pacific member, Agribank, as
well as announcing the other new members
of 2014 including Earthport, and LVG/China
Union Pay. Michel also unveiled the remaining
member prospects in the pipeline whose addi-
tion to our member community would increase
corridor strength in India and Bangladesh, as
well as in 16 other countries that have been
requested by our membership, including but
not limited to Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia,
Singapore, and Taiwan.
Mr Nicholas See, CEO of NCore systems,
presented on the company’s state of the art
payment systems capabilities and also high-
lighted ways that NCore can help Eurogiro
members become more successful beyond
just systems efficiencies.
Mr Ray Webber, Director of BUX.com gave
a fascinating presentation on how its product
could help Eurogiro members acquire cash
customers to, amongst other things: send
money to family and friends, shop at hundreds
and thousands of online retailers, top up their
pre-paid mobile phone and pay utility bills, buy
games, music, etc.
Uglii Corporation CEO, Mr John Knorr, spoke
about Uglii’s ability to help Eurogiro members
use its trusted brand, its relationships with
all businesses and governments and its post

Western Union’s Asia Pacific Director, Mr Jef-
frey Navarro, gave a short history of Western
Union’s success in the payments industry and
highlighted membership of Eurogiro as being
part of its global success.
Finally, Mr Bui Long, Associate Director of
Agribank’s remittance division highlighted their
experience and success in the remittance
marketplace. They intend to complement
the very successful payments capability of
Vietnam Post in Vietnam.
The day ended with a wonderful dinner hosted
by Chairman Mr Do Ngoc Binh, and Mr Pham
Anh Tuan, CEO of Vietnam Post. As part of
his welcome speech to the dinner attendees
Mr Tuan spoke warmly about having the
opportunity to host this year’s Asia Pacific
Community Meeting:

partners. I strongly recommend that you take
your time to explore Hanoi – the Vietnamese
capital with a very special 1000 year cultural
history.”
The council meeting on 22 October 2014
was attended by current Eurogiro Asia Pacific
Council members who were updated on mat-
ters addressed by the other Eurogiro councils
and advisory groups. They discussed the role
of the Eurogiro customer council and provided
feedback to Eurogiro on how to become more
successful in the payments services.
