Eurogiro’s first community meeting in Asia received great reviews
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was an excellent venue for the Eurogiro 2015 Community Meeting and the participants reviewed the event among the best ever in Eurogiro’s 25 years of history.
Caravelle hotel was an elegant and efficient venue for the 2015 Eurogiro Community meeting. Here Eurogiro CEO, Mr Michel Stuijt, opens the meeting. |
The setting in one of Ho Chi Minh City’s finest hotels was excellent and Vietnam Post welcomed and co-hosted the participants in the most cordial, attentive, and collaborative way. The chairman of Vietnam Post, Mr Do Ngoc Binh opened the meeting with the best wishes for the outcome of the meeting and for the well-being of the participants. The colleagues from Vietnam Post were very active and helpful throughout the meeting.
Eurogiro CEO, Mr Michel Stuijt, thanking the Chairman of Vietnam Post, Mr Mr Do Ngoc Binh for his great contribution to this event. |
Eurogiro is pleased to note that we succeeded in presenting a set of speakers who all added their greatly appreciated expert views on as diverse topics as:
- Worldwide payments’ systems, payments market conditions in Asia, and payments business of new Eurogiro members
- Compliance with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist funding regulations – what is required, how it can be realized and how Eurogiro’s latest system release supports the members in being compliant
- e-Commerce and its great potential for financial institutions and for postal organisations, exemplified by an overall view on the business as well as by case stories from China and Canada
Finally, again in 2015, the participants pointed out the unique spirit of friendliness, collaboration and frank business negotiations that characterize the Eurogiro Community Meetings. Many met old friends, several made new friends and all seemed to enjoy the social events in a local brewery and on the Saigon river cruise.
Bilateral talks are a cornerstone of the Community meeting. Here, from the left, Ms Hye-Sook Jeon, Swiss PostFinance ltd., Mr Jonathan Elkins and Ms Veronique Dong, both National Bank of Canada. |
Eurogiro is very grateful for the contributions from the Vietnamese hosts, as well as from the very engaged membership.
