Agribank, Vietnam, joins Eurogiro
At a festive signing ceremony in Hanoi on 2nd February 2015, Agribank signed its connection agreement with Eurogiro.
Eurogiro is pleased to announce that Agribank, Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, will provide Eurogiro members and their clients across the world with a very professional commercial partner bank in Vietnam.
Agribank will offer access to accounts in Vietnam to other Eurogiro members and will use its membership to expand its cross border business throughout the Eurogiro network.

Michel Stuijt, Eurogiro CEO, expects that “Agribank will be a strategic member in Asia that complements the current reach in the region very well. Agribank has great potential and determination to be a strong and capable Eurogiro member and is already well known to Eurogiro members in the Asia Pacific region. It has already started its connection procedures and expects to be live on the network in second quarter of 2015. Agribank will bring strong business potential to the Eurogiro community.”
At the Eurogiro Community Meeting in May 2015, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Agribank will be present and will present their services and expectations to the Eurogiro members.
Agribank, was established in 1988 and is today the largest commercial bank in Vietnam in terms of assets, capital, branch network, staff and customer base. It has 2268 branches (2012) including transaction offices all over Vietnam and about 38000 employees (2012), out of which more than 75% hold a bachelor or higher degree.
Agribank is a commercial bank that has made its mark in particularly in investing in the agricultural sector and in driving rural development. Agribank was the only bank ranking among the top 10 largest enterprises of Vietnam in 2014.
