It is precisely for this reason, and in order to
remain in accordance with the new deal of
the sector’s environment, that Togo Post has
launched a new product to the market - the
MobiPOST service - which is a product which
brings together both mobile postal services
and financial services.
It is now easier for customers to get postal
services wherever they are, whether during
a public event, or even when they go to the
local market.
Products are available through a mobile
counter which travels nationwide by car which
has everything on board that is needed (ie.
personnel and equipment) to be able to grant
the service.
The post office can now take its services
directly to its customers where they live and
provide a wide range of postal products
such as purchasing postage stamps, current
and savings account operations, rapid fund
transfers, foreign exchange, credit cards, bill
payments, etc.
Operations are performed in real time with
computer equipment (laptop, printer, mobile
modem) connected to the central site through
secure channels such as Virtual Private
Network (VPN).
Therefore, via MobiPOST, Togo Post essen-
tially seeks to facilitate access to postal and
financial basic services to unbanked popula-
tions which are often located in suburbs and
the remotest villages of the country where a
crucial lack of infrastructure is palpable.
This initiative strengthens the commitment
of Togo Post to its traditional policy of proxi-
mity, which states “being where the customer
is located is an absolute obligation for the
company”.
On the commercial side, the availability and
accessibility of this new offer to the public
in rural areas and places of seasonal or oc-
casional entertainment is a significant asset
to Togo Post, thanks to its mobility.
This will obviously allow Togo Post to
increase its market share in the sector, but
also to differentiate itself from other financial
institutions whose customers are mainly
concentrated within urban areas.
Through this initiative it will not be necessary
to have an agency in remote areas which
have a very low density of population. The
significant benefit for customers is that they
will not have to travel long distances in order
to use postal services.
Through MobiPOST, Togo Post will achieve
its mission set by the government, which is to
contribute more to the country planning.

MobiPOST - The simplest way to meet
customers’ needs in Togo
In spite of the extension of its network throughout the country, one of the major challenges of
Togo Post remains how to succeed in offering its services to the whole population without any
limit, particularly those who are far away from socio-economic infrastructures
