Eurogiro members
Eurogiro is a unique payments network that connects different payments "ecosystems", e.g. postal organisations, post banks, commercial
banks and other payment service providers, focusing on cross border high volume - low value payments.
Eurogiro facilitates members' cooperation in the field of international payments and offer efficient solutions supporting their offering to clients.
Thereby Eurogiro helps increasing the business of its members. The Eurogiro head office is in Copenhagen.
Our strategy in Asia Pacific is to harness
more of the increasing payments to Asia
Pacific. Our goals are to increase the
membership base, heighten the Eurogiro
relevancy to the members by giving mean-
ingful advice and solutions to increase
their payment volumes, and to introduce
new products and payment channels as
part of the growth opportunities.
New payment products and payment
channels play a prominent role in the
Eurogiro 2014 strategy and we picked
topics and speakers from some of the
key providers in these categories. The
day continued with a diverse range of
speakers that included Mr. Kawamura,
General Manager of OKI Corporation,
who highlighted the evolutionary develop-
ment of ATM’s in the payments industry,
Mr. Paolo Baltao, President of Globe GXI
who spoke of mobile payments, both in
terms of remittances and the newest
e-commerce product offerings, Ms. Somsiri
Siyarngnork, Founder and Managing
Director of AML Experts, who gave the
group an update on recent AML/Compli-
ance developments as well as a basic in-
troduction on how to develop an in-house
compliance program. Lastly, Mr. Roberto
(Reevie) Vergara, Director of the Trust
Institute Foundation, (Reevie was formerly
the First Vice President of Land Bank)
who gave a presentation of useful tips and
advice on how to set up effective corridor
marketing programs. Two separate “work-
shops” are being planned for later in the
year for Eurogiro members to discuss new
product opportunities.
On the second day, the Eurogiro Asia
Pacific Council members held their ple-
nary Council meeting to discuss the 2014
objectives to continue a successful growth
of members in the region.
