Each entity will benefit from this partner-
ship as it enables Dirham Express to
strengthen its network in Morocco, increase
its market share and offer a valuable service
to thousands of Moroccans who are recei-
ving funds from family working abroad.
In return, it demonstrates Al Barid Bank's
commitment to providing a diversified mix of
products and services in order to strengthen
its current money transfer offerings.

Eurogiro CEO commentary
Since our last Newsletter Eurogiro has welcomed Al Rajhi Bank from Saudi Arabia as a new
member and we are very optimistic about the prospects for the new Saudi Arabia–India corridor.
We are sorry to report, however, that we have recently learnt that Eurogiro’s first Managing
Director has sadly passed away
The moment I started to write this com-
mentary, we were informed that Eurogiro’s
first Managing Director, Mogens T. Hansen,
passed away peacefully during the night of
3 December. The Eurogiro project started
under Mogens T. Hansen’s responsibility
in 1989 and he headed the creation of the
Eurogiro Network A/S and chaired the
Steering Committee that managed the
development of the Eurogiro services.
Under his leadership, Eurogiro developed
from a purely European community to
embracing its first member from Asia, Japan
Post. Since he resigned in 1997, Eurogiro
has remained in contact with Mogens all
through the years and we will miss him
greatly. We are extremely grateful to Mogens
for all his energy in creating Eurogiro and
we wish his wife Inge and his loved ones
strength in the difficult period ahead.
The year 2011 has almost come to an end
and it is time to look back. In the summer
we welcomed Bangladesh Post as a new
member and in November it was Al Rajhi
Bank from Saudi Arabia which joined the com-
munity, the latter with the goal of opening the
significant corridor to India and other countries
such as the Philippines. In the next issue of
this newsletter we will present Al Rajhi Bank
and its business.

After four years of having a representative
office for Asia Pacific in Singapore, in October
we opened our first branch in Singapore and
have appointed Juanita Woodward to lead
the branch as Executive Director.
Paul Camp, Deutsche Bank, and Armin
Brun, Swiss Post PostFinance, have
decided to resign as Board Members of
Eurogiro and their positions were taken
over by Christian Westerhaus and Daniel
Krebs respectively. I would like to thank
Paul Camp and Armin Brun for their work for
Eurogiro and look forward to working with
Christian Westerhaus and Daniel Krebs.
Finally, all of us in the Eurogiro Team send
you our seasons greetings and best wishes.
We also thank you for your co-operation in
2011 and look forward to extending it during
the year ahead.
